Prosperitas visited Fedsas’ head office in Bloemfontein
Prosperitas once again visited Fedsas' head office in Bloemfontein to discuss the prospects for joint projects in 2020 with Paul Colditz and Jaco Deacon.
We also said farewell to Ona Heckroodt, who retired at the end of December 2019. We wish her all the best with the new phase of her life.

Prosperitas Care Project
Prosperitas and their employees participated in cooperation with the Pretoria North Baptist Church Pretoria North on their annual project “God of the City Outreach” where we made a contribution to purchase blankets for the homeless.
The project was launched during the 2nd week of June and on 25 June 2019 the blankets were handed out to the homeless.
We would like to thank all the staff members who participated in the project for their contribution.

Prosperitas Care Project 2018 and Free State visits
Another Prosperitas Care project was launched again at the end of 2018, during which Prosperitas raised funds for the Sentrale Volkskool’s residence in Kroonstad. Prosperitas as always, matched all contributions made by the staff.
An amount of R4 100-00 was collected for Sentrale Volkskool in Kroonstad and the handover was done on 20 February 2019 and was attended by the Principal and Governing Body members of the school.
The funds will be used for needy pupils in the school's residence. There is a great need for school clothes and toiletries amongst the children.
Prosperitas also visited the Fedsas head office in Bloemfontein to discuss the training sessions envisaged for 2019 with Paul Colditz and Jaco Deacon. The various provincial managers will facilitate the training sessions and the topics to be discussed will be determined according to the needs of the different regions.
Prosperitas received an invitation from the Chairman, Mr Klaas Moos from Heatherdale Secondary School in Heidedal, Bloemfontein to do a presentation on debt collection on Thursday, 21 February 2019 during a training session facilitated by Chris Verhoef and Michael Coomans from the Free State Provincial Office of Fedsas.
The event was attended by the following 7 schools:
• Heatherdale Secondary School
• Credence Primary School
• Petunia Primary School
• Olympia Primary School
• Heide Primary School
• Dr Blok Primary School
• Joe Solomon Primary School
The session was attended by 30 people and the audience's response was very positive about Prosperitas.

Fedsas Governing Body Training 2018 and the SOS Conference 2018
Prosperitas attended the Governing Body training sessions from 10 April to the end of May 2018 in the following provinces which was facilitated by Fedsas to train the new governing body members who have been appointed for the next 3 years:
• Gauteng
• Mpumalanga
• Limpopo
• North West
• Free State
• KwaZulu Natal
• Western Cape
Attending the training sessions was very successful and insightful and touched on various points of interest.
Prosperitas attended the SOS Conference this year for the first time at the St George Hotel in Doornkloof, Centurion which was hosted by Solidarity and Helping Hand. The conference was attended by principals and teachers of Gauteng and surrounding areas.
The program made provisions for the following sections: Afrikaans Home Language, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Technical Mathematics, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Accounting, Technology, Leadership and many other educational issues.
The providers who facilitated the sessions have done an excellent job.
It was also a great opportunity for us to become more involved with our schools.

Prosperitas Exemptions Training Session 2018
Prosperitas has again presented another successful training session in Kroonstad at Kroonstad High School (Blue School) on 13 March 2018 in cooperation with Fedsas.
This training session was attended by 70 people, consisting of principals, governing body members and the financial staff of schools.
The facilitator, Suzaan Mellet from FEDSAS has done an excellent presentation.

Prosperitas Exemptions Training Session 2018
Prosperitas has again presented a successful training session in Pretoria on 20 February 2018 in cooperation with Fedsas. This training session emerges from inquiries we got from the schools about Exemptions and then we have seen there is a need for the schools to obtain more information regarding Exemptions.This training session was attended by 80 people, consisting of principals, governing body members and the financial staff of schools.The facilitator, Suzaan Mellet from FEDSAS has done an excellent presentation.Further training sessions regarding Exemptions are in progress and one has already been scheduled for 13 March 2018, which will be hosted in Kroonstad at Kroonstad High School (Blue School).

PROSPERITAS EXEMPTION TRAINING SESSIONS 2017
After the very successful training sessions that was presented by Prosperitas in March and May this year, it appeared from most of the schools’ feedback that there was a great need to obtain more information about exemptions.
We scheduled in cooperation with Fedsas, two work sessions at:
• Laerskool Bakenkop in Centurion on the 18 September 2017
• Van Brakel Stoor Padstal in Caledon on the 20 September 2017
The training sessions was attended by 62 people consisting of Principals, Governing body members and the financial staff of schools.
The theme was "Exemption Training" and the schools were invited to bring all their problems and questions to the training session so that they could be discussed and find solutions.
The presenter Paul Colditz of Fedsas had the audience on the edge of their seats with his excellent presentation.
Very positive feedback was received from the schools stating that the information was extremely valuable.

PROSPERITAS AND HOëRSKOOL LANGENHOVEN CELEBRATE
SECRETARIES DAY 2017 WITH REFENTSE
Hoërskool Langenhoven excelled themselves once again this year with a very successful secretary day function. The school is one of Properitas’s major clients for the past few years and therefore we attend this function every year. Prosperitas was once again involved with this year's special day and supported them with the function where “Refentse” was the guest artist.
Many of Prosperitas's customers attend this function yearly and it gives our Client Relations Managers an excellent opportunity to network with our current clients.
Refentse, who received a Ghoema award in 2017 entertained all the ladies with his singing. During his performance all the ladies joined in and thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Several prizes were given away during the function.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Hoërskool Langenhoven for an unforgettable day that we could share with you.

Prosperitas Training sessions 2017

Prosperitas has again presented 6 successful training sessions in the following provinces from March 13 to May 29, 2017 in cooperation with Fedsas and Principal Software.
- Bloemfontein & Kroonstad, Free State
- Potchefstroom, North West
- Pretoria Gauteng
- Paarl, Western Cape
- Empangeni, KwaZulu Natal
The training sessions were attended by 250 people, consisting of principals, governing body members and the financial staff of schools.
The theme was: “What is my role at the School, Where do I fit in and What does my systems look like, processes and reporting.”
The facilitators, Riaan van den Bergh of FEDSAS and Daan Pretorius Principal Software have done an excellent presentation.
Another 2 training sessions regarding Exemptions are scheduled for 18 and 20 September this year and they will be hosted in Pretoria and Caledon in the Western Cape respectively. The training sessions emerges inquiries we got from the schools after the last training sessions and we have seen that there is a need for the schools to obtain more information regarding Exemptions.

PROSPERITAS AND HOëRSKOOL LANGENHOVEN CELEBRATE SECRETARIES DAY 2016 WITH
STEVE HOFMEYR
Hoërskool Langenhoven hosts their annual function to celebrate secretaries day every year. The school is one of our major customers and therefore Prosperitas are involved for the past few years and also attend it each year. This year was no different. Prosperitas has again support the school and it was a very successful function with "Steve Hofmeyr".
Many of Prosperitas's customers attend this function and we take the Client Relations Managers of Prosperitas every year in order to socialize on a social level with our customers. Steve charmed the ladies who came all over from Pretoria and he was part of the audience and had everyone involved. The school also give away several prizes during the function and the ladies are very grateful every year.
Thanks again to Langenhoven High School for a memorable day.
