May Prosperitas report debtors to the credit bureau (ITC)?
Yes , after the required notice is given to the debtor in terms of the Credit Act .
Who is responsible for the payment of school fees?
• Both biological parents or adoptive parent or legal guardian of a learner ;
• The person legally entitled to custody of a learner ; or
• The person who undertakes to fulfill the obligations of a person in paragraphs (a ) and ( b ) in respect of the student 's education at the school to come .
Why can I not pay directly at the credit provider?
The account was handed over to our offices for collection by the school / credit provider. It is advisable that you pay directly to us in order that all payments are credited timeously and no unnecessary costs are incurred.
Will you reduce the instalment if I can no longer afford to pay it?
It is important that all aspects of the outstanding amount, capital, costs and interest are covered and it is therefore advisable that a monthly payment of at least 10% of the outstanding amount is made to ensure that the account is settled within a reasonable time period. However, if you cannot afford it, you can contact us and negotiate a smaller instalment.
